How does the Gender Gap play out in the workforce? You can see it:
- in payment
- in discriminating women for certain positions
- the harassment of women
- subconscious bias towards women
- the needs of women are not met
- the company culture, which is not female friendly
- in leadership styles
- in the culture of the organization.
Most of this is because men have organized themselves well and have been running the show for centuries.
And I want to applaud them for that!
Why do we need to blame them for something they have been doing for centuries?
They have built countries. (to what cost is another discussion) It’s never been easy to carry that responsibility and provide.
Yes, they played their powerplays, but that is how most men were. Should we blame them for that?
So you won’t hear me blaming the “angry white men”. And at the same time, things need to change because women are rising and demanding equal treatment.
It is challenging for both sides.
Women are being forced into a masculine behavior-friendly system.
Men are losing territory and have to change in many ways.
I don’t understand the women who keep blaming white men for everything they have done wrong and maybe still do. Blaming works counterproductive. Since we also need men to be on board for this change the women want.
Let’s not look back; let’s look into the future.
I am here to help men become allies of women and claim back authority but in a different way. The feminine way. Because in balancing the masculine and feminine at work lies the solution
I’ve had so much support from men all through my life. I would not be where I am today had I not had that support.
What are the differences between masculine and feminine?
Some examples:
Focus – Awareness
Profit – Impact
Competition – Collaboration
Rational – Intuition
Evidence-based – Trust-based
Goal – Intention
In control – Vulnerable
As you can see, they are different actions or beings which will give very different outcomes.
Men and women can be masculine or feminine. It is due to hormones, upbringing, culture, and education. They’re two opposites. Harmonizing both within your business creates an inclusive environment where everybody can thrive.
